220 Gas valve position not detected (reed switch)
What the control is telling you
The reed switches (sensors) cannot detect the correct position of the gas valve.
Applies to: I-Series Plus boilers — 150K BTU and smaller (Combi and Solo)
Likely causes
- Reed switch mispositioned on the front of the gas valve
- Incorrect gas valve parameters
- Loose, damaged or wet wiring between reed switch and PC Board
Test and repair steps
- Confirm the reed switch on the front of the gas valve is seated in the proper location (see diagrams in the source manual, p.15).
- Verify the gas valve parameters, or re-enter them per 'Enter Gas Valve Values from Integrated Controller' in the Gas Valve Assembly Replacement Instructions (800000253).
- Check the wiring from the reed switch to the PC Board for loose, damaged or wet connections.

Shut off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for the exact model; it and local codes always take priority.
