PC0A Condenser high temperature protection

Medium severity Midea DLCURA ducted single-zone inverter heat pump (outdoor)

What the control is telling you

The condenser coil temperature (T3) is too high, so the unit protects itself.

Applies to: DLCURAH18-60 AAK/ABK single-zone heat pump outdoor units (18K-60K, regular and High Heat)

Likely causes

  • Dirty or blocked outdoor coil
  • Outdoor fan not running
  • Hot air recirculation (poor clearance)
  • Overcharge
  • T3 sensor fault

Test and repair steps

  1. Warning: Turn off and lock out power at the outdoor disconnect and wait for the inverter capacitors to discharge before touching the outdoor board or compressor wiring.
  2. Clean the outdoor coil and clear anything blocking airflow.
  3. Confirm the outdoor fan runs at speed.
  4. Check installation clearances so discharge air is not recirculating.
  5. Check refrigerant charge.
  6. Check the T3 sensor reading.
